Specialty coffee, fresh bakes, neighborly mornings
The Bean is a neighborhood coffee shop and bakery where small-batch roasts meet from-scratch pastries, served by people who learn your name and your order.
Our little corner
Roasted in small batches. Baked before sunrise.
We pull every shot from beans roasted within walking distance and pull every croissant from the oven the same morning you eat it. No syrupy shortcuts, no day-old case fillers, just honest coffee and butter-laminated pastry done the slow way.
Pull up a chair by the window, open your laptop or your book, and stay a while. The Wi-Fi is free, the refills are friendly, and there is always a stool open at the bar.

A few morning favorites
A taste of what is in the case and on the bar today. The full list lives on our menu.

The Maple Latte
Double espresso, steamed milk, and a whisper of real Vermont maple. Our most-ordered drink, named for the street outside.
$5.25

Butter Croissant
Eighty-one layers of local butter, folded by hand and baked until it shatters. Get there early, they go fast.
$4.00

Olive Oil Cake
Tender, citrus-bright, and not too sweet. Baked fresh daily and the perfect companion to a cortado.
$4.75
Loved by the neighborhood
“The only place I trust with my pre-meeting flat white. They had it on the bar before I finished saying good morning.”
Dana R., regular since day one
“Best croissant outside of Paris, and I am not being dramatic. I have driven across town for it. Worth every mile.”
Marcus T., Capitol Hill
“Warm room, warmer people. I came in to work for an hour and stayed for three. This is my second office now.”
